Before you can add any money to your account, you’ll need to have your bank details added to the Octopus Money system and they'll need to be verified. How do I verify my bank details?
It's also worth bearing in mind the rules of the account you are depositing into.
In particular your ISA allowance and your Pension Annual Allowance.
Once you're verified, you can add money to your ISA, GIA or SIPP via bank transfer or set up a direct debit for regular, automated deposits.
To setup a Direct Debit, Login to your Octopus Money account and select the account you wish to pay into, then follow the steps below:
- On the bottom left of your screen, under 'Manage Account', select 'Set up a Direct Debit'
If you already have an existing Direct Debit setup this will read 'Direct Debit'
- Enter the amount you'd like to deposit and the date you want the Direct Debit to be taken then click NEXT
- Review the details you entered and click 'Setup Direct Debit'
Your Direct debit has now been created
The minimum Direct Debit amount is £25
Tip: Not seeing the right thing in your account? A hard refresh will reset your account, so you can see the latest version of your account. Instructions to do this on Mac are here, and on Windows are here.
