You can make changes to an existing, recurring direct debit at any time. This includes changing the Direct Debit amount and the date it is charged.
For these changes to be implemented in the current month, any changes must be made by 4pm at least 4 working days before your next payment is due.
If you change your Direct Debit less than 4 days before it is due, your existing payment will still be collected. Your updated Direct Debit date or amount will come into force the following month
- Log In to the Octopus Money Portal

Select the account with the Direct Debit you would like to change

Locate the ‘Manage account’ menu on the left-hand side of the screen

Select "Direct Debit"
- Check that this is the Direct debit you would like to change, then click ‘Edit’ in the top right of the ‘Your Details’ section
- Make the changes you would like in the fields provided. This could be:
- Changing the payment amount
- Updating the payment date - Once you are happy, Click ‘Next’
- Review all the information to check it's correct, then click
‘Set Up This Direct Debit’ - You have successfully changed your Direct debit! You should see confirmation of this change.
