When you move overseas this impacts the services which we are able to offer you.
Owing to regulatory and legal requirements there are certain countries in which we will be unable to continue to offer you an account.
If you have already – or recently decided to – move abroad, please let us know and we can confirm if there are any additional requirements for that country.
The following restrictions apply when you move abroad:
- You cannot open new account types. For example, a client who holds an ISA will not be able to open a new GIA.
- You cannot pay-in any more money to your existing accounts.
- SIPP transfers and ISA transfers are allowed where you already hold an existing SIPP/ISA account with us.
- GIA transfers can be accepted if they are coming from another UK platform.
- JISA accounts can continue to accept subscriptions even after the child has moved overseas, providing that it was opened when the child was UK resident.
Clients moving to the US
Please note that owing to USA tax requirements, when you move to the US we will no longer be able to offer you an account and unfortunately we will need to close any open accounts you have with us.
